Hillsong – Just Let Me Say

Just let me say how much I love You
Let me speak of Your mercy and grace
Just let me live in a shadow of Your beauty
Let me see You face to face

And the earth will shake as Your Word goes forth
And the heavens will tremble and fall
But let me say how much I love You
Oh my Savior, my Lord and Friend

Just let me hear Your finest whispers
As You gently call my name
And let me see Your power and Your glory
Let me feel Your spirit’s flame

Let me find You in the desert
Till this sand is holy ground
And I am found completely surrendered
To You my Lord and Friend

So let me say how much I love You
With all my heart I long for You
For I am caught in this passion of knowing
This endless love I’ve found in You

And the depth of grace, the forgiveness found
To be called a child of God
Just makes me say how much I love You
Oh my Savior, my Lord and Friend

Life can be burdensome when we place ourselves on the throne of our own lives, because people fail our expectations, people sometimes may annoy us, or perhaps our needs are not met by others.

‘I always sacrifice, why you never give in, somemore so thick-skinned and insensitive one…’
‘Why this person in front of me walk so slow somemore block the whole pavement!!!1′
‘eh why you ask about how his week was but never come and ask me how’s my week?’
‘I’m already very tired already lah, why still ask me to wait somemore, do this do that’

Why is it about me again (and again and again and again and again…), o God?

I’m just glad I can sit next to You and laugh at how my week was. How foolish I was! Yet when Christ is in the centre of it all, life’s so much more peaceful and joyful. Things may not go well, but that’s not the most important thing in life. I may be tired, stretched, discouraged but that’s when God knows, and I know, how much I love Him and love His people enough to put them first, above all else.

Teach me to smile in the midst of the storm, because I know I will find You in the eye of the storm together with me. :) Yet in my times of need, Lord let not the first words from my mouth be ‘oi you all love me or not’ but ‘God, just let me say how much I love you.’
